Cancelada is located in the easternmost area of Estepona in the Costa del Sol, Spain. It borders Marbella. It is like a very small village located close to highway A-7. There is a direct exit from the A-7 highway known as El Saladillo, which corresponds with the coastal part to Cancelada.

What to do in Cancelada

Cancelada is home to some fabulous hotels and golf courses. Cancelada has a more urban feel and is more oriented to families. There are also many golf courses and clubs in the surrounding areas of Marbella and Benahavis. A hotel known as Hotel Villa Padierna 5*GL ranks in the top 30 worldwide. It resembles a Tuscan Palace and has a two thousand square meter spa.

Monuments that can be seen in Cancelada are an aqueduct of the nineteenth century called Taraje Aqueduct. There is also an old XVI century watchtower, located at Playa del Saladillo known as Torre Vigia del Saladillo, Torre Lance del Saladillo.

The Cancelada beach, El Saladillo is 3 kilometres long and is the longest beach in Estepona. The Blue Flag award was given to the beach in 2016.

Properties and Developments in Cancelada

As Cancelada is located between two major destinations for wealthy tourists, Marbella and Estepona, it also has the same appeal and reputation. The area is mountain filled and coastal, making this heavily urbanized area very attractive for real estate. The existing developments are very refined in appearance. There are chalets and quaint apartments with gardens that stretch down to the beach. It is a very quiet area.  Carefully constructed with minimal high buildings, makes this town a high demand area for buying properties and increasing the developments.
